Yeah, that looks like a great horn. Good luck with your bidding. _________________ Schilke '60 B1 -- 229 Bach-C/19-350 Blackburn -- Lawler TL Cornet -- Conn V1 Flugel -- Stomvi Master Bb/A/G picc -- GR mpcs

Hey, if it isn't Bach Boy!
Sorry, I'm just messing around. I could really care less what model of horn you buy, though I hope you join the noble ranks of Yammie owners.... just kidding...
I'm glad you found a horn, and I really hope that you get it and that it works well for you. I'm saving for a Xeno for sometime... If you get this baby message me sometime and tell me how she plays...
Just make beautiful music man. It's what we're all here to do
P.S. Be sure to thank your dad royally for one sweet horn!

Yes I will, he's the greatest, and I'll let you know about it. You know what, I thought I had this in the bag because I thought it ended early tomorrow morning but I was off by 12 hours, now I'm nervous as heck. |

HAHAHA WaxHaX0rS!! In that case I think I will stay way far from this one ... never been approached quite like that before. I truly hope you get the horn .. it looks great and in great shape at that! The RGS is truly a special horn ... good luck! Just keep an eye on it in the last couple seconds. _________________ Bb - Yamaha Xeno 8335RGS

I was just joking, I didn't think you'd bid on it again anyway because I looked at some of your past items that you bought and they all seemed $500 so or less, but this one is 1000. |

Oh and by the way, I do not live with my dad, he bid at it from his house as a gift for me. As far as he knows, I do not know about it, I just had a feeling he would bid on one because of how we were talking the other day. So I looked at the xeno's on ebay and sure enough, he had bid on one! |

Really nice horn....but?????
1997 is inscribed on the bell and $1000.00 brings up that question about considering a brand new Yamaha from a legit dealer such as listed on TH's websites for just a few $$$ more???

Hey you, be quiet, lol.
By the way, it comes with 2 mouthpieces and a water valve added to the 3rd valve. And I don't think it matters how old it is, it apparently has been either not used very much or VERY well cared for. Plus, I think I trust this guy, he has a 100% positive feedback. |

I could be wrong, but maybe it's "1887" stamped on the bell? |

Yes, now that I look closer, it does look like 1887. I can't read what's before the 1887 but this might be a clue...
"Since 1887, when it began producing reed organs, the Yamaha Corporation in Japan (then Nippon Gakki Co., Ltd.) has grown to become the world's largest manufacturer of a full line of musical instruments..."
I found that on the Yamaha website. |

I don't think Xenos have been around since 1997 have they? Good luck with your bidding, these Yamahas are really well built trumpets, and very consistent so no need to worry about getting a dud one, I actually took one of the reverse leadpipe ones home with me for a week. |

Looks to me like it says "Yamaha Xeno Established 1887"

Yep, that's what my Xeno says on the bell. Xeno's haven't been around since 1997. _________________ J. Fowler

Its too bad you aren't swinging for the V1, but you'll be happy with a Xeno I'm sure, they are great horns! |

Thanks WUG, but those links don't work. I'm don't really want to think about it too much or I'll go nuts, haha. |

MAN! He was outbid and there's an hour left, I hope he sees it. If not, I will probably just have to wait a little longer until the next one comes around, oh well. (Fingers are crossed). |

Quick, tell your Dad about this one. He can "Buy It Now" for only $50 more than his previous maximum bid. Tell him you'll reimburse him the 50 bucks!
This guy had a third slide spit valve installed also:
