Thanks for the website link Brian! Also thanks to John for direction to the excellent article on the Benge CG Model. I am lusting for a new Burbank but at the moment staying retired is a budget kind of thing. However, after a few minutes of soul searching, that Burbank seems like something that I might be able to justify after all, somehow work that around my Finance Director, Mrs. B! _________________ '71 LA Benge 5X Bb

The 6X-CG is my favorite Burbank trumpet. It's so fun to play! _________________ Brian A. Douglas

Thank you, so much. It was a privilege and pleasure to spend time with Michael and his horns. It felt like we had been friends for years, even if I was just learning about them. Sharing his memories about Zig and other friends I'd met through Kanstul was so good!
Did you know that Michael's last name is Thompson, not Thomas? It's true. I've forgotten how and why he came to use the pseudonym for his business, though.

Yes. I miss them all. But, it's good to see you on the boards again, John! _________________ Brian A. Douglas

Under your feet? What about the sky? Hope it's not falling and tumbling down.
My feeble mind is remembering that I was supposed to send you a mouthpiece and/or the book to a show a while ago. I'm hoping I did at least one of the two. |

Hey, I just checked my email and I sent you the book to Addams Family on January 28th, and you replied thanking me on January 29th. But I didn't send a mouthpiece. I remember now I wanted to look and try to find a second 7MV version because I didn't want to send the only one I have. I'll do that for sure during the next group of days I have off which is the 25th through the 27th. Send me an email with the address I should send it to (if I found one). |
