Can you provide the model number? One or two piece?
Many of the trumpet mouthpieces Bob Osmun has made are based on one off duplications he's made.
For example our Symphonic Series models are iterations of a 25+ year old Bach 1C played by Bruce Hall, same rim & cup made with in 3 inner diameters either one ore two piece. One piece Symphonis Series come with 24 throat and 24 back bore, or cup (top) only with standard 27 throat threaded with 3/8"-40 Warburton style threads..
Our Vintage Series mouthpieces are based on a number of classic designs. The ever popular 3C Star by Tottle cup, originally designed for Amando Guitalla. And more to come... _________________ James Becker

Well it is not Osmun. I know that brand. It is written "Osman 20 CW S 3" and the look is like the mouthpiece of Monette. One piece mouthpiece. |

An internet search reveals there are some trumpet players with the last name of "Osman" so perhaps this is a personalized custom piece for someone with that name?
The markings look Monette-esque. Does the piece look modern or vintage?
Lastly, how did you acquire the piece? Had it long or just came upon it recently? If you have just acquired it, I would try to trace it back, seeing if you can find someone named "Osman" around the area from which it came.
Personalized, one-off pieces are hard to trace. Good luck! |

You can't post photos directly on TH. You can upload the photo to a sharing site like imgur.com and post the link here. If you use Google Drive you can save the file there then share the file and post the link.

I know it's a very old topic but just in case you still need informations about your mouthpiece... osmannbrass are made in italy (florence) by marco nesi,
he is a musician and artisan well known here. |
