The Pittsburgh Symphony has announced a Principal Trumpet audition. Visit the link below for more details. Note that information was received through AFM and the PSO does not have the audition listed on their website as of 3/1/17.

I think apples and oranges are being mixed here. The Pittsburgh Philharmonic is a volunteer orchestra and appears to be the one with the principal opening, not the Pittsburgh Symphony. As best I know George Vosburgh is sitting in the Principal's chair at the Symphony.

It's the Pittsburgh Symphony. The posting is currently up at their website: https://www.pittsburghsymphony.org/pso_home/web/about-landing/career-opportunities/auditions/

There is an ad for the position of principal trumpet of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra on the AFM website.

I guess they both may have openings. The Philharmonic's announcement is the lead item on their website: http://pghphil.org/

My comment a earlier in the string was a bit behind the times. I just noticed there is now a separate thread with a link to an article announcing the retirement of Mr. Vosburgh and his wife who is the PSO Librarian.
