Anybody know what these are? They're short shank but not Dynamic Mass. They don't fit in a cornet, definitely a sort of diffuse trumpet mouthpiece but can't find them on his website. |

They're probably piccolo mouthpieces. Since they don't fit a cornet, I'm assuming trumpet shank?
Here is a link. Click in any rim size to see the various cup options.

Yep, not listed there and definitely not anything I'd want to play on piccolo
More like an "instant flugelhorn" piece. |

MPT and CPT are listed as cup options for piccolo mouthpieces.
As an example, here are the options for the 40 series:
http://www.bobreeves.com/products/piccolo/mouthpiece.php?rim=40
MPT and CPT are in the top half, the trumpet shank pieces (cornet shank equivalents are CPC amd MPC). Note that most, if not all, all of his cup depths are available in picc pieces. Some of them I'm sure would be more difficult to play than others.

Those are for piccolo trumpet with a trumpet shank. The CPT has the Reeves C cup mouthpiece and the MPT has the Reeves M cup mouthpiece. Bob's Piccolo Trumpet mouthpieces have a special backbore that aids intonation, sound and response on piccolo trumpets.
The ones with a cornet shank would be labeled CPC and MPC. I play the 43CPC in my Schilke P5-4. I also have the 43MPC for it but I find its shallower cup makes the sound a bit shrill for me. For my Selmer Pic with its trumpet shank sized receiver I just use my stock Reeves 43C trumpet mouthpiece as I find it works fine for me (too cheap to spend the $ on a 43CPT).
Concerning the shanks being shorter than typical trumpet shanks, I'm not sure that's normal - maybe someone shortened them. You'd have to call and ask someone at Bob Reeves' shop to know for sure about that. Or maybe John Snell will see this and chime in.
Cheers,
John Mohan
