I am curious about some previous information that was posted in various threads past…

1. It was said that the SC trumpet mouthpiece backbores were revised. Is this true also of the cornet mouthpiece backbores?
2. I see that the new flugelhorn is now available for purchase. What mouthpiece comes with it – a. is it a French shank; b. what sort of cup design and diameter is it?
3. Concerning Callet natural trumpet mouthpieces; I expect that various shanks are available for the different makers, but what about the diameter and cup for the nat?
4. Jerry told me that he now also makes a .460 bore C trumpet. I don’t see that on his website – and I wonder if there is a revised Eb/D available as well?

I appreciate those who can satisfy my curiosity! Thanks.

Yes, the new Callet C and the Eb/D are both available in your choice of .453 or .460 bore. Played a gold plated Eb/D .460 yesterday and it was really, really nice.

The flug is truly great, IMHO. As a soloist, I play lots of flug on gigs. And I've owned most makes through the years. This flug is like my previous definite favorite, a French Besson clone tweaked by Paul Caccia, but with much improved response. And best intonation ever. Uses small Morse taper. And I'm sure you can pick either of Jerry's flug mouthpieces, SC3 or 4.

I seem to recall that the natural mouthpiece uses Jerry's SC4 cup. But I don't know about the taper. And I don't know about the cornet backbore. Best to call Jerry about those. He's easy to catch at his studio.
