This happened at a Fargo Moorhead (North Dakota) Symphony show. Thank god no musicians or instruments were seriously damaged, although there were a few minor scrapes.

That's funny and similar to one of my own experiences.

I was conducting a show in Vegas that was to end with show girls prancing up and down a runway while the band played Stars&Stripes, with fireworks going off at the same time. Behind the band was a humongous American flag. The fireworks were between the flag and the band.

Just as the fireworks shot off, a big gust of wind billowed the flag out like a sail, bouncing the fireworks in an arch directly into the audience and showgirls. Unfortunately, emergency vehicles had to be dispatched to the site to take care of injured viewers. Even though it wasn't our fault, we got out of there as fast as we could.
