Saw Chris Botti in concert last night. He really puts on a nice show. I can't recall a show that I enjoyed more than that one.
I love his sound and he gets around the horn as well as anybody out there. He played some straight up jazz along with some more popular fare. He had some jazz licks that Freddy Hubbard would have been proud of.
Also, he brought along some young talent. He certainly has an ear for quality.
Simply great stuff all way 'round. If you get a chance to see him, don't pass it up.
