I love the way he starts his second chorus . . . I have a feeling he was planning in advance to do that.
On the Dexter Gordon Gotham City album, Woody starts the second chorus of his solo on Blues Walk with a really hip phrase also. I get the feeling that he had a tendency to seize the opportunity at the top of the second chorus to dazzle us with something cool that he had previously thought up. Anyone think of other examples of Woody doing this? _________________ Puttin’ On The Ritz
