Isn't the Kanstul 991 a two-tone horn? Seems to me that it has silver-plated and gold-plated portions. If it's two-tone, one would have to wonder about the lacquer adhering to both types of metal.

I'm sure the OP has in mind the look that he wants for the horn, whatever the reason may be. Sounds like it's immaterial what this would do to the resale value of the instrument.

Bet there's an interesting story that could be told about all this.

The two tone parts are easily removable just the silver parts are getting re-lacquer.
