I recently found a trumpet that my friend had sitting around for years, but i noticed this red dot. Is it possible if its red rot and if so is it possible to be removed?

Hi Thatoneguy

The link you have posted does not bring up an image, rather it brings up a lot of search results.

Take care

Lou

Edit - Have now seen the picture. It is hard to tell from the picture, but it doesn't characteristically look like red rot to me.

It's a little difficult to tell from the pic if that's red rot or not... if you pull the slide and look into the tube with a flashlight does there appear to be any bumps /indents on the inside? The good news is that even if it IS rot, that inner slide could easily be replaced IF it ever got bad enough.
