Anyone know of someone who could refurbish a Bach Strad case? My case from the mid 80's is a bit rough on the exterior and the main carry handle broke off. |

I had a case modified by taking it to a furniture restorer. You could also look for a luggage restorer. If you don't find a suitable case restorer, you might consider these. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird

I don't actually use the case for anything but storage anymore, but my old Bach case (early 80's) handle finally died and fell off too.
I took it to a local shoe repair/leather guy and he made a new one for me. Only cost a small amount and will probably last a century or so, especially as little as I use it now.
It doesn't look 'original' but it's arguably better than what was on there from Bach (some sort of faux leather plastic hybrid junk). _________________ "Music is like candy, you throw the (w)rappers away." |

Bach case repairs are easy. Handle can be replaced by a good instrument repair shop and the case can be made to look nice again. We regularly replace handles, latches, and hinges. Not looking for more work with this response. Just take your case to the nearest full service repair shop. _________________ C. G. Conn 60B Super Connstellation
