I am relatively new to all of this but have been listening to a few different Trumpet players, notably for me: bix Biederbecke , Chet Baker, Tine Thing Helseth and Charles Turner.
While I do enjoy all types I tend to gravitate toward more melodic types, if that makes sense, I don't know.

Of course it makes sense. You might check out Clifford Brown With Strings. Also, Maurice Andre. And Welcome!
