I ordered all 4 of the Harold Mitchell’s trumpet method book plus the warm up book from qPress.
I think they’re great, although the Beginners Warm-Up is incredibly long! It would take hours to play through I all. Was it intended to be played completely or just to do some of the exercises?

Dave, I think he's referring specifically to the Warm Up Book not the lesson book.

However, I think the exercises in Book I have warm up built into the lessons, don't they?

Many thanks for the help. It was the Beginners Warm-Up that I was referring to. It would take hours to play it through with the marked rests. I loved Dave’s comment that “It’s like eating an elephant”. That really made me laugh.
I love the basic approach to the Mitchell books. It’s just simple sound and production, which is what we need every time we play a note on the trumpet.
I have used the Louis Davidson book for years which I love for the same reasons. I gentle start and a gradual expansion. That would be a good one for qPress to publish as it’s getting hard to get a copy these days and I think it’s a very valuable aid to anyone’s playing.

I'm also very interested in getting a copy of Davidson's book, from qPress if possible.
