Spectrum Brass is thrilled to announce our 7th-annual Spectrum Brass Seminar, from June 16 - August 13, 2018, at the Bay View Music Festival.

Bay View is located in northern Michigan, on a lovely, wooded campus on the shores of Little Traverse Bay, and is one of the oldest chamber music festivals in the United States. Our students have the option of attending a 4 or 8 week intensive seminar to hone their craft in a supportive and enriching environment. In today’s universities, where students are pulled in so many directions, the opportunity to spend time dedicated to chamber music with a 2:1 student/faculty ratio is unsurpassed.

As members of Spectrum Brass, we are extremely proud and honored to be a part of the prestigious Bay View Faculty, and are confident that this will be yet another amazing summer. Since 2012, we have worked with over 100 students from 50 of the finest music schools throughout the United States and abroad. We are currently accepting applications for undergraduate and graduate-level students who are interested in exploring the world of brass chamber music. Each student will receive weekly private lessons and quintet coachings, attend entrepreneurial workshops, collaborate with the Spectrum Brass in a large brass ensemble, and have numerous performance opportunities. Our students work closely with the members of Spectrum, and get the chance to hear us perform several times a week. In addition, Bay View presents a fully staged Broadway Musical and Opera each summer and you can perform in the pit orchestras.
