Someone has this trumpet? How does it sound?
How does it sound compared to a Stradivarius?

I think it's Bach TR-200 with marked as an "Omega." It's a Bach intermediate/step-up horn.

Like any Bach (or most horns) if it plays well for you, then it's a solid horn. I've played a few, wasn't too impressed, but Bachs aren't really my cup of tea, generally. I recall them being slightly stiffer, slightly more resistant than a Strad, but these could vary between each specific horn.

No it is not the TR-200. First...... is the MG-290. Completely different, much higher quality.

Why ask if you do not want to listen?

But yes, the omega 290 is a bach 200 series with a 3rd valve rod stop and fancier engraving. There is also a trombone version of the omega that is also a version of the 200 series trombone with fancier engraving. It is my understanding that they were sold to specific retailers as an "exclusive " line.
A few students at my University use them as marching horns, they tend to be tighter in blow, especially in the higher range, that your standard strad (25/37) and sound somewhat brighter. I have read that they have a similar bell to the 43, only two piece, but that could be wrong.

If you enjoy the horn, play it and do not worry about what it may be labled.

Don't read the marketing materials, look at the actual components.

The Omega is not "marked" as a TR-200. That doesn't mean it doesn't share most of the components and specs.

Again, if it plays well and you like it, then it's a good horn.
