They could both sort of be described as a "slightly smaller 1X".
The 2-3/4C is the most extreme--it has the sharpest bite, the lowest alpha angle, most bowl-shaped cup, tightest throat entrance.
It is extreme in all of those regards--it's the most bowl shaped cup I've ever seen, and has a very tight throat entrance. It blows very tight w/ a stock throat.
The 2-1/2C is a great mouthpiece that's often overlooked. Not as extreme as the 2-3/4C, it has similar properties to the 1X, but a slightly narrower rim that has a slight high point closer to the bite than a 1X which is pretty flat. I don't think the alpha angle is quite as low as either the 1X or the 2-3/4C, but it's still "low". Both of these mouthpieces have a much deeper cup than their "C" designation would indicate, and are closer to no-letter pieces.
Even though you didn't ask, the 2C is like a smaller 1C, with a narrower rim, and the straight 2 (no letter) is cavernous—very deep...almost like a Monette B-11.
Overall I think the 2, 2C and 2-1/2C are good but I don't personally care for the 2-3/4C.
Hope this helps! _________________ Isaiah 40:8
