So, my main genre is jazz, but I've always loved ska and I recently heard from a friend that there was a No Doubt cover band looking for some brass players. I plan to audition as soon as I learn the tunes, but I'm wondering how I can learn the whole process of rewriting the horn parts. I've transcribed a good deal of it so I can do that if they ask me to, but I'm more interested in arranging, I know enough theory, I just don't know what the best way to go about it is, I know the chord changes, what do you guys think?
