Hey guys,
It's time for you Maurice André experts out there:
I have been wondering for a while what kind of Eb cornet (?) and what kind of mouthpiece André is using in this phenomenal video clip:
His sound is just incredibly clean and effortless, almost like a flute! (assuming that a flute can actually produce a nice sound. (thought I had to add this comment in a trumpet forum, just in case...))
I'll take a stab and say it's a G piccolo. I don't know if that even fits the piece but I'm pretty sure it's not a cornet. He may have used a cornet mouthpiece with a shank adapter but it's difficult to see in that video.

It looks like either a Schilke or Stomvi tuning-bell G. There's one shot where you can see there's no receiver to bell brace and just before it cuts away, it looks like he's reaching to adjust the lower bell set screw.
