Hello Trumpet World!
I discovered this video by William VerMeulen a while back and found it very interesting:

I realize that horn players deal with a much wider range than trumpet players, but I feel like we could use some of the same advice. Some of my students tend to get "locked" into one range for a period of their development.
I wonder if we could talk about this idea in a more efficient manner while referring to lip flexibility and moving easily throughout the different ranges of the trumpet. Perhaps it would be most useful if discussed in conjunction with tongue arch.
Just a thought.
Happy Trumpeting! _________________ Dave

Thanks for posting. 'Like his analogy to a transmission. _________________ For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? - 1 Cor 14:8 |
