I like this a lot. I've never been a huge Arturo fan. I felt he relied on his technique too much. Everything sounded like he was always in a hurry. As he's gotten older it seems his technical skills have slipped a bit in some of the recent videos I've seen. Not a criticism, just an observation. It happens to all of us. We can't outrun Father Time.
This can sometimes be a blessing as I like the expressive way he plays this piece. No pyrotechnics and he just plays nice lyrical lines.

Thanks for that.
Great musicians there.
From what I can see, no one has more fun playing a trumpet than Arturo Sandoval.
Interesting that it sounded a bot like a cornet.
A cornet would be good on this song.
Gosh, I'd give up a nut to play like that.

The OP video is from 2011...I've seen him live since then and he's still playing very strong. It's pretty obvious he dialed back the intensity for this recording; double C's may not have been appropriate for that setting.
Here's a vid from 2015...ends his solo with a double-D. Doesn't sound like he's lost too much to me.

that's one of the reasons I posted the video. I like Arturo, he's an exciting player and a real screamer. And I appreciate that, but I also really appreciate hearing him lay off the flash for a while and show us another side of his incredible abilities.....

The videos of Arturo's "There Will Never Be Another You" and "Here's That Rainy Day" are two of my all time three favorite trumpet solos (the third is Snooky Young's "Lil' Darlin'"). Musicianship tops technical showmanship in my book.
Of course, Arturo has both technical ability and musicianship.
Personally, what I am trying to do on the trumpet is play truly artistic and moving pieces. I listen to Arturo for clues on how to do it.
Warm regard,
