Hello,
I play in a local wind orkest on my Yamaha 5335G ( mp = 1-1/2 C ).
It's a fine trumpet, the same as the 6335... but with a 2 piece goldbrass bell.
Sure i am curious .. how a more professionel trumpet play's?
I am thinking about a Yam 8335(R)G (second generation) trumpet.
But is it a good investment for me?
Will she play a lot better than my 5335??
Maybe some people here have knowledge of both trumpets?
Thank You.
Orban. |

I just bought a couple of these for two different students (5335G) and they are a fantastic horn. I think they out play the 6335. As far as pitch and evenness goes, I think you'll find they're really on par with the Xeno. The Xeno is a heavier instrument and can produce a higher volume before brightening up and can produce stronger articulations. You should give the Xeno a try but know that your current horn is on level with the "pro horns" |

Thanks for the answer.
Spending 1950 Euro (... more than 2000 Dollar) and becoming not much more is stupid.
Maybe i have to go travel a few hours and testplay a Xeno.
But i hate travelling.
Or waiting for a used for sale in my neighborhood |
