Hello,
I play in a local wind orkest on my Yamaha 5335G ( mp = 1-1/2 C ).
It's a fine trumpet, the same as the 6335... but with a 2 piece goldbrass bell.
Sure i am curious .. how a more professionel trumpet play's?

I am thinking about a Yam 8335(R)G (second generation) trumpet.

But is it a good investment for me?
Will she play a lot better than my 5335??

Maybe some people here have knowledge of both trumpets?

Thank You.

Orban.

I just bought a couple of these for two different students (5335G) and they are a fantastic horn. I think they out play the 6335. As far as pitch and evenness goes, I think you'll find they're really on par with the Xeno. The Xeno is a heavier instrument and can produce a higher volume before brightening up and can produce stronger articulations. You should give the Xeno a try but know that your current horn is on level with the "pro horns"

Thanks for the answer.

Spending 1950 Euro (... more than 2000 Dollar) and becoming not much more is stupid.

Maybe i have to go travel a few hours and testplay a Xeno.
But i hate travelling.
Or waiting for a used for sale in my neighborhood
