Of all the stuff I've collected over the years, I'd have to say an Olds Ambassador would be my personal first choice. I think it projects well, and will withstand the slings and arrows of getting beat and banged around.
I've seen some nice horns get trashed in the bleachers.
Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, used one cornet for everything. I used a 10 1/2C mouthpiece for marching band, and a 5A for symphonic band. _________________ Since all other motives—fame, money, power, even honor—are thrown out the window the moment I pick up that instrument..... Absolutely no snark intended. If I were making this decision I’d go with a pTrumpet. Sounds better than a used beater. Much lighter to hold up while slogging around.

May be lighter to hold up but don't hold up a lighter to it! _________________ "At the round earth's imagined corners, blow
