Was it the one he actually plays, stamped Vincent Bach Corp. 1-1/2C with a Reeves Sleeve?

Malcom doesn't play anything special--he plays a 1-1/2C.
Even in photos of Malcolm online you can see quite clearly that it's a screw rim, which completely negates it being a "plain old 1.5C"

Right.
If you read GR's posts, you will see EXACTLY what it is that Malcolm plays. We digitized it, reverse engineered it and took out the wrinkles, and made two of them. Both will be on their way to Sanada in Japan this week.

This is a quote from another poster:

Or, do like I did and send him an email: mcnabmusic@gmail.com

He'll answer you. My earlier post were direct replies from him copied and pasted.

He said he played a 1-1/2C and the only mod he mentioned was the Reeves sleeve and he couldn't remember why he even got that added.

Sure...
That's why he had Jon Lewis take a mold of it, just in case it was ever lost and he couldn't replace it with...oh ya...another 1 1/2C.

We have the numbers. Nuff said.

If you listen to interviews with him, you'll understand his focus isn't on equipment, he's got the "find something and stick with it" approach. Which is valuable advice, just not all of us have found that great fit yet. But it explains his reticence to describe his equipment in depth, so a big thank you again to Brian for passing on the info. As already statedt, playing a "1 1/2C" is utterly meaningless with all the inconsistency over the years. Malcolm plays a mouthpiece of which no two models are exactly the same to begin with, that has been further customized for gap, throat, and most likely also a custom backbore, has a custom rim unlike typical 1.5C rims, all of which MIGHT AS WELL BE a 1 1/2C for all the good its going to do us, as unique players, because it only works for HIM, but it's still FUN to know what it is that he uses =D

Put another way, he does in fact play a unique and very customized mouthpiece with his preferred rim on it (that he uses on every trumpet) that is STAMPED 1 1/2 C ... There IS something special about it, especially for him. I've played lots of 1.5C's and no two play, sound or feel alike.

Deviating some from the original question: anyone used/uses GR pieces on rotaries or is this pistons only?

Jon Lewis, Santa Barbara Symphony and over 800 movies and 1,000 television shows.

Also, Chris Martin had some pieces made for him; they are models CM-C1 and CM-C2, but I'm not sure if he still plays them.

Ben Wright in the Boston Symphony played a custom GR for a long time.

Mike Zonshine played his Zony GR pieces in the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra.

Steve Haefner (the designer of the Haefner pieces made by GR) plays GR pieces in an orchestral setting.

There may be some others I think of later...if I do, I'll update the post.

Based on Chris Martin's NYP videos, I'd say he is back on his Parke.

Note that Mcnab is supposed to be a B&S artist too, but that is clearly his trusty Schilke E3L and not a B&S Equisite (which is supposed to be his 'signature' model).

It is a pretty old photo - 2011 I think. Not sure when the B&S deal happened

Is that 'high on the upper lip' mpc setting typical for some situations?
It looks similar to how a French horn mpc is set.

KNOW (see) what the next note is BEFORE you have to play it.
PLAY the next note 'on time' and 'in rhythm'.
Oh ya, watch the conductor - they set what is 'on time'.
