What’s y’alls go-to source for listening to recordings? Orchestral or solo records...Own a few albums on iTunes...free Pandora is kind of hit or miss with what shows up on shuffle. What do y’all use? Is Spotify worth the $?

I personally use Spotify because they offer a decent family rate. Their selection of trumpet/orchestral music is growing rather rapidly. I have friends that use Naxos and stand by that.

Tune-In Radio on my iPhone.

WQXR in New York
WCRB in Boston
WFCR in western Mass
WFMT in Chicago

I use Bluetooth to a pretty decent Klipsch Soundbar with separate sub woofer in one room and a wire to my good stereo in the living room.

I use Spotify, for sure.

It's so great to be able to type in a song title and instantly have a few dozen versions to listen to when learning a new tune.

I pay the $15/mo. family rate and let my whole family tag along as well. It's now part of my yearly holiday gift to them.

Spotify and streaming services are terrible for artists in the long run... But in the short run it sure is useful and helpful.

Apple Music. Monthly subscription for the family lets each listen to and download anything in iTunes.

Naxos is amazing. As an example, there 363 versions of Mahler 5 on there. There's probably quite a bit of duplication of performances on different releases and some probably aren't complete (Great Square Inches of Art), but there's a ton on there.
