Got one just like it, without the tape! Yours appears to be brown in color. Mine is pale green...still use it!

If it's like mine, it was originally green but is faded to a brown tint.

It is a brownish green. $3.00! Last copyright date 1941.

Mine's pale green, with electrical tape on the spine, Scotch and shipping tape throughout. Caruso and Haynie are the same, except for silver duct tape on the spines.

Mine's light green, has a tape reinforcing the spine, and has $5 on the cover so it's younger than yours. I see it's going for $20+ new these days.

Yes! Old from the beginning it has aged with me...
But mine looks more fresh! CanĀ“t say that about myself though.

Mine is bright green - and has my twin brother's name written in black marker at the top. He no longer plays trumpet, so when I lost mine in a move at some point I took his old one.
