Sergei was the first trumpeter that inspired me. Again, he never ceases to amaze me. This is incredible!

Good grief, the guy is still sounding great!

In this field Sergei is pretty unrivalled, the way he flies round the instrument with such rapid articulation and finger dexterity is remarkably similar to the style we sometimes see Wynton play in his Jazz idiom these days.

If you only heard this and didn't actually see him doing this on the video you'd think it was something that was recorded in sections and then spliced together. This is the outer limits of anything I've seen done on the trumpet. It's insane how skilled the best of the best of the best are at doing things on the trumpet that seem totally impossible for the rest of us.

What a treat to watch this!! Thanks for posting it!!
