hi!
I just bought an olds super trumpet, and its.. super!
However, its a couple of cm longer than my old trumpet and it doesnt fit in my old gig bag.
I had a protec gig bag and liked it a lot..
Does anyone have recommendations for lightweight, protective gig bags that will fit for an olds super?
The stores in town dont have any so will have to buy online without checking the case in person..

Thanks! ☺️

Those suckers are longer than most horns. Olds made special cases for them. If you are looking for a vintage original contact me.

I have a Cronkhite leather gig bag, now made by Torpedo Bags, that should be plenty long enough. I know both my Olds Recording and Benge 3X+ fit with room to spare. They’re not cheap, but they are VERY well made.

Also, many online dealers (Austin Custom Brass, Dillon Music) have return policies if you order something that doesn’t work.

I found this same thing out after I bought a SKB case (trumpet too long). Mine fits in both of my Protec cases. I have a gig bag and a pro pack.

Really? I have a Protec pro pack, and it doesnt fit. I have the contoured one. Do you have one of the others? I really like the protec cases, so if it fits another model i would buy that..

This is the one I have:

there are some that seems quite different as well:
