Maybe because I went to school in the frozen tundra (University of Minnesota), I really appreciated this:

I've been stuck in the snow many times. This is the first snow storm that I regret missing.

Warm regards,
Grits

Sorry.

There's something up with the way the website is (not) working on my computer. The yellow markers indicating unread posts disappear before I read the posts so I miss a lot of posts.

Perhaps the moderators can remove this thread.

Warm regards,
Grits

'74 - '78.

The only thing that I learned in my 4 years there was that I did not want to retire anywhere that required the ownership of a snow shovel.

That may have been the only thing that I learned, but it was worth the 4 years spent there.

One of the things that disappointed me about the U of M was the lack of opportunities to play trumpet. Other than pep bands, there just wasn't much happening. I played at local churches a few times; that was about it.

Warm regards,
Grits
