I recently bought a used Parduba Harry James 4 mouthpiece. To my knowledge, the 4 size was never listed on any catalogues. I am not mistakening this for a regular Parduba, as the “HJ” is marked on it. Does anyone know if Parduba made any custom pieces or if these were discontinued or a possible mismark?

Go to WWW.grandcanyontuberadio.com Get to the menu and you will see a listing for Parduba mouthpieces. A little history and mouthpiece sizes.
Your #4 is listed.

I'd recommend gettin in touch with Jerry Callet. He knows more about Harry James' mouthpiece than anyone.

Parduba mouthpieces used to include a #4 and an HJ4.

The "new" Parduba HJ models only go down to a HJ 4.5.

Sounds like your HJ 4 was made by John Parduba before he went out of business.
