Most German flugelhorns use a standard Morse taper trumpet mouthpiece. They are not meant to be played with the deep cups as are American flügelhorns. In German brass bands, the flugelhorn serves the role that the cornet does in British brass bands. Accordingly, the mouthpiece used allows for a more nimble, projecting horn.

As you can see from my signature I play a K&H 15 (French style piston instrument), which I find perfect for big band and pop/soul/funk stuff. It takes an American shank, as we say over here, that is the 9 mm shank, which is a little smaller than the classical German 10 mm shank.

PS: these are Flügel pieces, not trumpet. Some people, especially in German style brass bands (“Blasorchester” or bohemian style Blaskapellen) will use trumpet mouthpieces - this is certainly not what you would want for jazz etc. I used to play a Wick 3 FL but this was (1) hard to play because of the thin rim and huge depth and (2) made my horn sound rather dull. So a medium depth Flügel piece may be what you are looking for.
