Is there anything out there that could be considered "all-in-one" studio management software? Something that has video conferencing + time management, etc? _________________ Please join me as well at:

So far, no. Lots of specialised packages, but they are SO specialised, the always seem to miss out on a critical area: for me.
So what do I use?
At home, a basic, free accounting app which is cloud based. I can generate reports on income and expenditure. No need to record who and when, just a basic list. I communicate by phone / txt / email. No more needs there. My equipment info is all recorded and kept accessible through cloud based storage. Online teaching, I used Skype.
At work... we keep track of some 300 kids, their ensembles, the music library, the instrument inventory, the conductors, instrumental teachers, accounts, donations, wages, etc.
The option was $100k for a stand alone system, or use what our school system has. Standard database for people, records, library system for equipment and music library. Online classroom for communication and practice music. School system for fees, donations, wages, purchases, etc. it works brilliantly, and maintains transparency and accountability. _________________ so many horns, so few good notes... |

Nothing? That's too bad. I suppose there is an opportunity there. _________________ Please join me as well at:

The issue is that there will always be another feature that someone feels is extremely important. Others will most want it. That will lead to costs, or not, to levels of purchase, and a whole raft of complexity.
I rather suspect that a few well chosen apps, used sensibly is far better than a one stop shop type. And it seems to work...
Cheers

I just saw this recently: https://www.mymusicstaff.com/
It looks very promising - no videoconferencing, but I wonder whether asking for studio management and videoconferencing in one package is too much. |
