Are they interchangeable from one horn to another? For example, could you swap the third piston in one horn for the third in another? _________________ Jim Hatfield

Given the number of years they made that model and the number of different bores I think a great many horns wouldn't be interchangable. And given the age of most of these, there's also the matter of wear.
I've got a 20's vintage 80A that needs a leadpipe. If I ever get the time and money I'll be looking for a similar vintage horn that has a leadpipe I could harvest. _________________ "I'm an engineer, which means I think I know a whole bunch of stuff I really don't."

Since early 80A's had top sprung adjustable valves while later versions had bottom sprung valves, you should make sure which one you have and find a similar vintage horn if you even want to consider trying that kind of swap.
Also as mentioned, if there is any kind of mileage on either horn, there may be issues with putting a loose valve into yours and making things worse, since it was not the original mated one.
Good luck. _________________ Olds NA5MS Cor
