Anyone play the new i33? Looking at the S22 and noticed the i33 (no reverse lead pipe - so curious about this difference too!) Anyone own one yet?

Don't own either, or played the new i33. However, just from specs, I would think they would be significantly different. Different bell flare and different bore size.

the "i" series does not have the Schilke "reverse lead" tubing either. Seeing as how it was coached into existence by a "Symphony Guy", I suspect of all the Schilke horns to function like a Bach, the "i" series would be it. However, wanting a bit more G2 before plunking down another $4k, Love the thought that there might be a "better than Bach" for Symphony work!

The i32 has a reverse lead pipe. Don't know about the i33.

I believe the i33 also has the reverse lead pipe- thanks for the catch. It is the Soloist series that has the straight pipe. I like the fewer braces of the "i" series. Friend just bought the S33HD and he loves that configuration - good big band as well as "modern" church charts.

The i33 would be Bach 43ish while the i32 would be more 37ish.
