Hello All-First post on Trumpet Herald.

Does anyone have firsthand experience playing the Van Laar Chuck Findley trumpet?

That's question one, and second question is - does anyone have experience with the gap on Van Laar Trumpets? I'm in the beginning stages of getting Warburton shanks cut for sleeves to get a gap i'm more used to on Calicchios, Benges, Warburtons, Yamahas, etc. I prefer a .05-.150 gap and am not even close to this gap on Oriam II, and two seperate Van Laar B1 trumpets. Any comments regarding their personal experience with gaps on the Van Laars?

Thank You!

Don't know about the gap on a Chuck Findley. But I do play an Oiram 2. I use a 4 sleeve on my mouthpiece. It seems to center the best. But I would get several sleeves from 4-5.25 and find what works best for you.
