Hi guys,
For those of you who play an Eb cornet. What is the best stand for it. I use K&M stands for my Bb cornets, but they are too big for an Eb. I figured you guys would be able to point me in the right direction. I'm actually asking for a friend. Thanks for any advice you can spare.

If you can get a spyder stand, and use the small extra tip that comes with it, that should work. Ive used that for piccolo trumpet and Eb trumpet so for an Eb cornet it should work as well. _________________ CG Benge @1975

The best fit that I've found ins a Hercules Flute/Clarinet peg (the spring loaded one). It's not the easiest to carry around, but solid.
Beyond that I haven't found anything that fits well without some "mickey mouse" adjustments.
The Hercules "Travel-Lite" for trumpet, works if you put a felt donut around the peg - standing the cornet up a bit from the base. The issue I have with these stands is that the yellow ball breaks down and falls off - they have a short life span. I have one that the ball fell off, so I replaced it with a wad of stage tape. The tape is not as big as the ball, so actually fits my Eb cornet very well
I don't have one, but I think the Spyder trumpet stand will work but I find those stands a bit flimsy, I just don't have much trust with them. _________________ Freelance Performer/Educator

I just had a mental image of you grabbing the cornet from the stand and blasting a moist wad of gaffer tape at the front row _________________ Yamaha YTR6345HGS Bb
