Surely if you make improvements to your line via a new (revamped) model, the rest get the same upgrades and you have a better horn and soon enough, more market share?
And how does 'enhanced engraving' focus projection and the ability to colour the sound?
Just like another thread, I am rather sick of blatantly untrue / pointless advertising copy.

More options and price points is never a bad thing from a consumer's stand point.
They're not saying the engraving improves projection. They're saying the bell, which has a new engraving, is designed for better projection and coloring ability.
I wonder if I'd like the Artisan bell more? Either way I'd love to have one and replace the leadpipe with a 25A. _________________ 1981 Bb Bach Stradivarius 37/25 ML raw - Laskey 60C

Has anybody compared this new horn with the Bach Philly? |

Following...I'd be interested in thoughts on the same comparison. |

Anybody who's tried or bought the new Bach C care to offer an opinion? How does it compare to other C's you've played?
Thanks! |

I bought one in February, and I love it! It has a nice, meaty core to the sound and much better intonation than the 25H or Chicago/Philly. I was on an Artisan before.
The major difference to me is the blow. The approach to this horn is very different compared to other Bachs. I hesitate to say it has extra resistance, because it doesn't feel at all restrictive. The best way I can describe it is that it feels like you blow into the horn and let it do most of the work for you, while on a Chicago or 25H, you feel like you are blowing through the horn. I know that sounds stupid, but that's the only way I can articulate it at the moment.
I tried about 20 horns (including four 190s, a Chicago, a 25H, and several Shires models) and the last two standing were this one and a Shires 4S8. I was this close to going with the Shires, but its pairing with my already bright sound was just a bit too bright for me in the upper register at higher volumes. The 190 is just the right fit for me. _________________ Josh Coffey

Are we still talking about Bach or have we moved on to Yamaha, Schilke, Shires, or any other manufacturer that has multiple models of horns in a particular key?
By the way, I believe the term "enhanced engraving" was referring to the esthetics of the bell, not the properties of its projection. But then again, I don't really have a bias against Bach or any other manufacturer. If I like a horn and it works for me, I play it, and if it doesn't, I just move on. And just for the record, I don't play a Bach C trumpet. |

You might want to check the receiver gap, the 25M trumpets I've seen have greater than average gap which some players may find beneficial, while others may find constrictive. Regardless of model, we've found there's always something lurking inside that can stand correction.

Is the 25M leadpipe the same length as a 25A or a 25H?
Thanks. |

How is this possible when almost nobody has one? |
I think they mean to say it was copied an improved upon by Yamaha? |
