There has been some talk about the Stomvi Master flugelhorn once in a while but there's hardly any information on this horn.
So is anybody out there who plays the Stomvi Master flugel and can give us a review of the instrument?
I'm happy to hear your thoughts! _________________ HN White King Master Vocal C/Bb/A cornet - 1918

I would call K.O. over at Stomvi USA. If anyone can help, either he or someone he knows can. www.stomvi-usa.com _________________ Josh Coffey

I only know what's on the Stomvi (Spain) website and a review done several years ago by the late Jim Donaldson on his Schilke Loyalist website. It looks like a beautifully engineered horn and I would love to get the chance to try one someday. I think the older version of the Master flugel had a gold-plated brass bell and a sterling silver bell; the current version is gold-plated Bellflex brass and silver-plated copper.
Alas, I've only played one in my dreams. You might ask Jon Ruff if he's ever played one. I think he currently plays the Stomvi Elite flugel but since he works for Stomvi-USA he gets to try pretty much any horn that comes through the shop if he wants to. I think he'd still give you an honest review and not just try to sell you one.
For what it's worth, I recently switched to Stomvi Flex mouthpieces and I'm thrilled with them. Those guys know their stuff. _________________ Bryan Fields

@jcoffey - While we're on the subject of Stomvi, what can you tell us about your Stomvi Master piccolo? What piccolos have you compared it to? _________________ Bryan Fields

Thank you for all the advice.
I've already got in contact with Stomvi Spain and got some more information about the specs and the different models.
But if there is anybody out there who will share his personal experience with us I'm still curious about it. _________________ HN White King Master Vocal C/Bb/A cornet - 1918
