I'm looking for the correct dimensions ie. I.D. and O.D for a 1950's Olds Opera trumpet outer tubing for the third valve slide. I need a section of solid nickel tubing to get a repair made on the third valve slide. I know it's an extra large bore trumpet but having tried to put vernier callipers onto the outer slide I'm getting different readings and therefore I do not trust them. If someone like a brass technician knows the size of tubing I need, please let me know and thank you in advance. _________________ Love improvisation that has its roots in jazz, even if it doesn't always sound like typical jazz.

Try dial calipers - easier to read, and more accurate. _________________ "Strive for tone." -John Coppola
