In case you don't already know...
James Morrison plays EVERYTHING except drums on The Master Plan...I knew he was a killer bone and trumpet player, but I had no idea he was a fantastic sax player, among other instruments...
I'm blown away. |

It's hard to reckon that one human being can be so talented on so many instruments. _________________ Please join me as well at:

I certainly can't really think of anyone comparable. Arturo Sandoval plays a really good piano, can do various percussion, and can sing and especially scat quite well, but I don't think he can, for instance, play the saxes or trombone. I've read that the legendary pianist Chick Corea can also play flute, trumpet, and drums at a proficient level, but not at the level Morrison can play... everything. _________________ 1936 King Liberty No. 2

When we have the opportunity to hear or see someone this talented the first thing in my mind is "truly" what different part of the galaxy to they come from.
There are members here that do brass and reed instruments well. They all have my admiration. _________________ "There are two sides to a trumpeter's personality,

I see videos of him playing an entire "duet" with trumpet in one hand and trombone in the other. Since he can't use the hand for the slide, he plays the entire thing on the trombone with just the trigger. How is that possible? _________________ Please join me as well at:

By playing close to and in the high register, in fact lots of ‘false fingerings’. |
