The other day I fired up Finale for the first time in many years and transcribed a Xmas tune for brass quartet.

"We Wish You A Merry Xmas" in the style of a Bach Fugue, dubbed: "Bring Us A Fuguey Pudding"

Yeah, I know it's fu$%!ng April but in my defence, it's a very clever little arrangement. The arranger is Jonathan Mui:

I guess I should add that IMHO this isn't a "read on your Xmas gig" arrangement. Seems to me this arrangement/transcription would need some woodsheding and rehearsal for the group to pull it off.

Love this! I'm a big fan of doing things in the style of a Bach fugue - one of my favorite videos of that on youtube is the fugue rendition of All Star by Smash Mouth!

Thanks for the vote of confidence but the more I look at it the more I am convinced that I should have done some additional editing and simplified portions of the fugue. I also could have done a better job doling out rests.
