I have a need for replacement parts for a Kanstul made horn.
They don't seem to be available from Anaheim - any tips on how to get them?
Thanks,
Gary. |

Sorry. In order to get replacement parts from Kanstul, it looks like you may need a time machine. |

There are brass technicians who stock Kanstul parts, some of whom post here. The remainder of Kanstul's parts inventory was sold to BAC, but it's probably too early to expect them to have anything up for sale.

#1 on my list is a 1st valve thumb saddle for a BE609. This attaches to the end of the slide, not the top of the slide.
Let's hope someone has one of these.
Gary.

Kanstul didn't make the BE600. If it says "London" anywhere on a Besson trumpet, it was made either in London, or in one of the OEM factories that Boosey & Hawkes (or Buffet-Crampon or whoever they are) used after they stopped using Kanstul, either in the Czech Republic, India or China. Finding parts for those horns will probably be very difficult, but reasonable facsimiles can probably be fairly easily obtained. |

Gary, we stock genuine Bach “wrap around” (vintage style) 1st slide thumb saddles in both raw and silver plate. These can be mounted on any make that needs a 1st slide saddle when the top tube is not reversed.
I hope this is helpful. _________________ James Becker
