My wee review, posted on TPIN:
I got my CD in two days! It has gone round and round and round in my car and what an awesome recording! Some familiar underpinnings with a clever title on Eyes All For You. A nice rendition of Old Folks. Honestly, there isn't a cut on the disk which isn't great, It's a toe tapper (well, finger tapper in the car). Sweet picc from Tom Hooten is a bonus.
Arranging is rich, lush at times even. The playing is all at a top-notch level. Rich plays his heart out and has inspired the rest of the gang to do the same. I haven't heard this kind of energy in ages. And the thing is very well engineered with lots of dynamic range. That everyone is having a good time is patently obvious.
Thanks to all who contributed to this project. I am thoroughly digging it. Way to go, Rich Willey!! _________________ veery715

Wow, thanks veery715! What a nice review . . . and I don't think it would be immodest of me to agree with everything you said, either.
With arrangements by Gordon Goodwin, Mike Abene, Wally Minko and Chris Walden, a trumpet section led by Wayne Bergeron, and a rhythm section that includes Peter Erskine on drums, it's pretty easy to guarantee that there's plenty to like on this recording.
Of course I would love it if you got one from my site, but I am only offering the actual CD there. You can get other formats through those other places.
Thanks, again, veery715!
P.S. I hope kehaulani's offer is to only pass along his one CD. Artists like me need to generate as much revenue as possible to recoup any percentage of the considerable expense it took to produce this album. Thanks! _________________ Puttin’ On The Ritz

Awesome album!! I like ALL the tunes!
I downloaded via iTunes as I only vaguely remember a plastic round thing that spins in a some kind of player or computer. That is SO 20th century......... _________________ Harrels VPS Summit

Ordered Saturday, arrived today, talk about fast service! Also ordered several of Rich's books since I am old-school and like the print versions (also arrived today).
Fast service, great CD, and some nice new material to practice, awesome!!!

Just got home from a rehearsal with Difficult Run, a big band led by Don Junker here in suburban Washington, DC. Don had stack of the CD's with him, and I brought one home. Holy S__t! What a project! Great tunes, great arranging and what an outstanding band! Every cut is excellent, wonderful solos by all hands and particularly Rich.
Rich, you must be incredibly proud of this!
Bravo!

Thank you, Jack!
Don Junker called me this morning telling me that the more he listens to this CD the more he likes it. People have told me before that my tunes grow on them, and that's essentially what Don was saying.
So I hope you listen repeatedly until you can't stop listening to it.
We are very happy with the sales we are getting. We are also seeing charts showing that we are getting a good amount of airplay both here and abroad. Pretty cool, and yes, Jack, I'm incredibly proud of this project. I'm also grateful to Dan Fornero who turned it from an idea into a reality, and way beyond anything I had ever hoped for. _________________ Puttin’ On The Ritz

Finally managed to listen this morning.
This CD is absolutely freakin' incredible!
Playing so smooth and tight you might miss how difficult it is for most of us to do that. Melodies just flow from one player to another with a rhythm section and backing fills/riffs that just "fit". A wide range of tunes that sound like the heyday of big bands has been reborn but better.
Great job Rich and all!!! _________________ "After silence, that which best expresses the inexpressible, is music" - Aldous Huxley

I just got home from the Aebersold Summer Jazz Camp (week 1) and my head is swimming with ideas. Those camps are so inspiring and motivating!!!
Anyway, I just saw these posts and wanted to thank you folks for listening!
I hope you are liking the tunes themselves . . . that really is my ultimate aim: to get my tunes heard, so hopefully people are liking what they're hearing.
I know the performances are ridiculous . . . those are some of the greatest players anywhere and they don't perform at less than 100% for anybody, even me!
