No need to worry about the tunes, Rich. After a couple weeks they are stick in my head like old standards. I think it's Grammy material.

Interesting you would say that. I just found out that that very thing has happened . . . the album has been submitted to whatever committee it is that does that.

Of course, there's a difference between a submission and a nomination, so time will tell.

But here's something exciting . . . Downbeat did an Editor's Pick review that just came out this morning.

Pretty nice review, although I keep hoping somebody would talk more specifically about the tunes themselves. I'm happy that it's really good, though, for sure.

This ought to be a strong contender for the “best large ensemble album” grammy.
