What's are some good books of sacred music for trumpet and piano? I'm interested in which books have easy piano parts, robust trumpet parts, etc. Just looking for music to play in my church. I'm Mennonite, but music from any religious tradition would be welcome in my church.

Thanks!

Brant Adams has three volumes of “Trumpet Solos for Worship.” I’ve had a lot of success with these, and there is a wide variety of traditions and styles represented in each book. Volume 1 is linked.

I can see for convenience, monetary and physically, you would want compilation books, but if the spirit ever moves you to use single arrangements, I have used Prayer of St. Gregory moving and effective. Alan Hovhannes composer.

There are a couple great options not mentioned yet.

One is Robert Snyder's Gospel Duets for Two Trumpets and Piano (works for one or two trumpets, in reality).

And the other is Devotional Solos for Church and Program Use (Trumpet and Piano) by Newell Long.

Both are really great compilations that every gigging player should have.
