Hi everyone, I just wanted to make a public announcement about this insane project that Erik Veldkamp just completed. He painstakingly and expertly transcribed every note Clifford Brown recorded, including heads, melodies, and all solos for every album he ever released. This is a monumental achievement and I thought everyone should know about it.

Below I will list each album with links so you can check them out.

Also, this week the store has a sale with code summer2019, in case you want to build up your library.

Congratulations Erik!

I downloaded Clifford Brown The Complete EmArcy Recordings 11 Volume Set and Clifford Brown The Complete Blue Note and Pacific Jazz Recordings.

Awesome! These include the HEADS, too!!

I'm performing a Clifford Brown tribute next spring with the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra. Having these will make it a lot easier to score big band arrangements around a quintet.

Thanks Erik!

I would think writing those melodies would introduce some copyright issues.

Aside from that, this is an incredible and seriously impressive project!

What a prodigious accomplishment! I've never heard anyone I'd rather emulate ...
