Hi everyone!
I just bought a used Kanstul Trumpet. The seller sold it as a 1502 trumpet. Serial no is 1554, there is a small 7 engraved in the receiver.
I could not find any info about the different leadpipes that kanstul made.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers,
Dan

The 1502 is patterned after a Calicchio 1S-2, the 1501 is patterned after a 1S-7. Maybe it’s a 1501? Just a guess...

Oh you are so right. Under specifications it reads also avail. With no 7 leadpipe as 1501.
How does that change the characteristics of the horn?
Thank you so much, that already helps a bunch!

In theory - the 2 pipe should be more open and faster responding while the 7 pipe induces a little more resistance and supposedly a darker bias. The 1501 and 1502 were pretty much the same other than that.

That is a great horn. I own one and find it easy playing -the least demanding for playing than any I own (about 20). Congratulations. Good choice.
