I came across a Holton Galaxy mouthpiece the other day. I dimly remember having bought it back in the early Eighties, but that's all I know. It has no numbers of any kind anywhere on it, so I imagine it's fairly low-end, but I'm curious. Is it equivalent to any modern mouthpieces? If so, which ones? Is it actually any good?

Holton Galaxy was my High School horn in the 60s. It came with a Heim 4 mouthpiece. I still have that mouthpiece.

I have a Holton Galaxy cornet mouthpiece. It came to me with a long forgotten horn purchase (I think). Mine is a little distinctive due to the insertion end appearing to be a 10 or 12 flat-sided geometric figure describing a circle. It is not my first choice for use in playing my Holton Galaxy cornet.
