For those of you who have a C Bell on their Bb Trumpet what is your choice (e.g. 229) and what is the reason for using the C bell instead of a Bb? |

Isn't the Benge 2X bell the same one they used on the C trumpets? |

I can't say for sure that it is a C bell, but my New York Bach has a No. 5 bell that was installed when the horn was returned to the Bach factory several years after it was built according to the shop card. The horn has the tonal quality of a C trumpet and blends well with C trumpets, but has all the playing characteristics and intonation characteristics of a Bb. |
